An assignment is considered a rush translation when the size or complexity of the text is not in proportion to the desired delivery time. A Dutch translator, for example, translates 1,500 to 1,800 words (5-6 pages) a day. That would make a 2,100 word translation that must be ready on the same day a rush assignment. The translator would charge a rush rate. |
